As we continue to blaze our way through the busy wedding season here at the EH Floral Studio we fully welcome in the slower (haha) seasons of fall and winter. We look forward to the letting our creativity run free during what we think of as our “down-time”.
We have begun blocking out a little time at the studio each week for what we are calling “Mini-Shoot-Monday’s”.
Today’s post gives you a little peek into what is to come as we put down the rolls of white and ivory ribbons and pick up the things that have been catching our eyes all summer and go a little wild. We have been looking forward to this!
My amazing friend Valerie Vermeulen who is working hard to launch herself into the textile trade and created this incredible Marino wool table runner earlier this summer and I have been waiting patiently for the day to come where I could put it to use.
We threw together this mini shoot in the studio lawn with leftover dahlia’s that were in the cooler from Tarrnation Farm, dried up hops harvested for the weekends wedding, olive branches, some other mixed seasonal greenery and the velvet chair from my dining room.
As these cooler days creep in and the frost on the ground sits a little longer in the grass, sip your coffee or tea a little slower, and be inspired like we are by all the things that surround us.
